Illinois Senate Democrats to Host 2013 Presidential Inaugural Celebration in Washington, D.C. with The Bar-Kays Band as Musical Headliner

 On Sunday, January 20, 2013 from 8:00 p.m. – Midnight, the Illinois Senate will return to D.C. to host a 2013 Presidential Inaugural Celebration in honor of their former colleague, the nation’s re-elected President Barack Obama.

Festivities will be held at the Washington Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in the Marriott Ballroom at 2660 Woodley Road, NW in Washington, D.C. This special event will include live performances by popular funk, R&B, and soul music group, The Bar-Kays and Chicago’s very own V. Holmes’ “A Tribute to the Motown Greats” –who will pay tribute to Stevie Wonder, Martha & the Vandellas and Smokey Robinson & the Miracles—accompanied by the V. Holmes’ Motown Tribute Band. Chicago’s hottest “DJ & mixologist,” DJ Phantom, who is featured daily on WGCI-FM, will spin the best party music to keep partygoers dancing throughout the night. Each attendee will also receive a free photo from Deja Views Photography at the event. In addition to entertainment, there will be a scrumptious food buffet and drinks.
